APD helps people with disability using many large-scale programmes.

Our Home-Based Program takes within its fold people with varying disability. At the MICO ancillary unit, for instance, this program has achieved the formidable task of increasing the output by as much as 63% in a single year. Meanwhile, yet another branch of DTP operators has been churned out and, thanks to the exhaustive training these people have recieved through the program, most have secured good jobs.

Our Community-Based Rehabilitation programtakes under its wing activities like maternity andchild welfare, pre-primary education, as well as informal education of girls.In order to increase benefits to people within the community, monthly inputs from physiotherapists and orthotists augment the efforts of this program.

With APD's Horticulture Training Program taking root in 1985, people with diability, living in rural areas, at long last began finding their feet. The program tanscended from being a mere experiment to being a viable livelihood for them.

Since the issues of health, nutrition, hygiene and literacy aren't issues of people with diability alone, our Urban Slum Outreach Program focuses on bringing these essentials to the people, regardless of ability.
